Alla settimana della moda di New York Asher Levine, uno dei designer preferiti da John Legend, Lady Gaga, Will-i-am, La Roux, The Black eyed peas, dopo aver presentato gli occhiali da sole che vengono realizzati con la stampante 3D, propone i guanti del futuro. “Abbiamo pensato di mettere un chip nei capi di abbigliamento che si possono perdere a cominciare dai guanti, basta attivare un app sullo smartphone per riuscire a localizzarli. Ha una precisione di un metro e quando sei vicino all’oggetto si accende una luce verde – spiega lo stilista – cerchiamo di inserire le innovazioni tecnologiche in tutte le collezioni ad esempio questo tessuto prima di essere così era un liquido e ha una consistenza unica”.
Oltre ai guanti, anche giacche, foulard e borse potranno essere facilmente localizzati. Ora punta sulla realizzazione di un sistema che riscalda le giacche a seconda della temperatura esterna in modo da non avere mai troppo caldo e mai troppo freddo.
Semplicemente un genio, balenava da tempo nella mia testa il fatto che quando perdi un oggetto non sai come ritrovarlo, questa si è l’invenzione del futuro. Una sola domanda, saremo rintracciabili ovunque? Forse già lo siamo attraverso i nostri accessori tecnologici. Asher Levine si può definire stilista high tech sia per i metodi innovativi che per i tessuti all’avanguardia.

Lose your gloves? There’s an app for that!
Asher Levine, is the designer for his eponymous progressive menswear label, Asher Levine.
The 24 year old designer, has had his designs worn by Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, Will-i-am, La Roux only to name a few. His last collection included pieces that used the Makerbot 3-D printing.
The menswear designer has a plan to install GPS technology into your clothing so you never lose a hat or a scarf in the cab again.
The technology element is a small dog-tag sized device that is slipped into a piece of luggage, gloves, or other clothing that tracks with GPS through an app on your smartphone. If your hat or gloves gets more than 30 feet away from you, your phone starts beeping.
Absolotely a genius. I often think that people lose things, like a bag or a hat and they can’t find them. This is the invention of the future. Only a question. Will we be traceable anywhere? Maybe we already are through our technological gadgets.
